Mission Statement
LifeCare is a Christ-centered ministry that exists to support, educate and empower individuals to make healthy, life affirming choices related to their pregnancy and sexual integrity.
Our Center
We serve clients through our Gateway center, located at
1306 Hillsborough Street in
Raleigh, NC.
Core Values
Christ Centered
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Because of our relationship to Christ, he must be the core of our lives, and therefore, this ministry. We must allow Christ to live in us. We must die daily living for Christ and others, not ourselves. All we, say, do, and think must be centered on our relationship with Christ. Christ didn’t just emotionally love people he also demonstrated his love. Christ’s servant heart took him to the cross. We must follow his example of humility and sacrifice in the way serve our community.
Sanctity of Human Life
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. Jeremiah 1:5
Because we believe God’s Word is the guide for our lives, we must live by it teaching others what it says. Only God has the right to create life and take life.
Relationships
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12
Because of our relationship to Christ, we must intentionally seek to have relationships with others: staff and clients. In these relationships, we need to be honest and vulnerable. As we do this, we will grow in love, understanding, and reach more people with the love of Jesus Christ.
Integrity
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. Titus 2:7-8
They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. .. Mark 12:14
Because of Christ’s example, we are to operate in truth and honesty and not be swayed by the world’s vision.
Excellence
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him, who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.2 Peter 1:3-4
We are called to excellence in our work at LifeCare to serve our clients, donors and other staff. By doing this we reflect Christ, and make work for others easier.
