LifeCare uses one-on-one counseling as its primary function. This counseling is done by staff or volunteer client advocates. Both have extensive training. The guidelines of this training are established by our umbrella organization, Care Net.

The counseling is done in a relational, nonjudgmental way so that the client feels safe and supported. Our goal is for the client to fully understand all their options and ultimately “choose well.”
